As we approach the Family Day long weekend, we want to send our warmest wishes to you and your loved ones. This break is a wonderful reminder of the importance of connection, togetherness, and taking time to appreciate the people who matter most.

Whether you’re celebrating with extended family, enjoying a quiet weekend at home, or taking advantage of the extra day to rest and recharge, we hope the days ahead bring joy, laughter, and meaningful moments.

Folklofolie Performance – Wednesday, February 18

We are excited to share that our students will be attending Folklofolie at Valley Creek School on Wednesday, February 18. Classes will walk to Valley Creek to enjoy this cultural music performance. Below are the performance times for each group:

Because this is a walking field trip, teachers will send home a School Messenger message with trip details, supervision information, and common walking‑trip hazards. They will also be requesting parent volunteers to support supervision (ratio 1:8).

Possible hazards during the trip include:

  • Uneven sidewalks, rocks, and curbs (tripping hazards)
  • Slips and falls
  • Bumping into others while walking or playing
  • Minor scrapes or bruises from falls
