Learn and Share | School Planning

We know we make better decisions to support student learning when we build understanding and work together. That’s why we’ll be sharing information about school planning and asking you to share your perspectives.

During this engagement, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn About
    • School planning, which includes the school development plan, school budget and school fees
    • How the school development plan sets the overall focus and direction for a school to improve student learning outcomes
    • How the school budget provides funding to implement our school development plan
    • School fees and why they are necessary
  • Participate
    • Participate in our school council meeting, which will be both virtual and in-person on Wednesday March 11 at 6:30 pm to learn more about school planning. There will be an opportunity to provide feedback at this meeting.

Next Healthy Hunger Snack Day – February 25

Our next snack event is fast approaching. It is scheduled for Wednesday, February 25. The vendor is Sweet Rice, and the snack item is donuts.  The order deadline is Friday, February 20 at midnight. Elev8 Lacrosse – Residency at Hidden Valley School

TIME SENSITIVE

We are excited to welcome Elev8 Lacrosse to our school next Wednesday and Thursday as part of our Physical Education program! Each Grade 1–4 class will participate in a 30-minute lacrosse experience, where students will be introduced to the sport through fun, age-appropriate activities that focus on movement, skill development, and participation. We are looking forward to this engaging residency and the opportunity for students to try something new and active. The schedule is below:

TO DO: Acknowledgement of Risk forms and a parent letter were sent home on Thursday, February 19. There is no cost to students to participate in this residency, but Acknowledgment of Risk forms must in signed and returned to school.

Please ensure the form is signed and returned to your child’s teacher no later than Monday, February 23.
